We were delighted to recognise the achievement of two our registered care homes in maintaining 'green status' for a year on the Encompass Risk Register.
The Risk Register allows us, combined with visits to the service, a thorough overview of how well a home is performing in terms of day to day. It's also a valuable tool in ensuring when things are not working so well, for whatever reason, it raises the flag, this prompts appropriate organisational support and resources. The Risk Register runs on a traffic light system, green, amber and red and support is tailored depending on where a service is sitting at any given time.
Rawleigh House at Sherborne, and Sandhills at Stalbridge are two registered care homes that support adults with severe learning disabilities and are the first homes to achieve a year at green status, with thanks to the hard work of both teams.
Home Manager, Carol Bowen and Deputy Home Manager, Karen Clark, collected the award of behalf of the team at Rawleigh House. Besides managing Rawleigh House, Carol and Karen also oversee two supported living services in Sherborne.
Maggie Cooper and Donna Rayner collected the award on behalf of the team at Sandhills. It was a fitting tribute to outgoing Home Manager Maggie Cooper who sadly leaves us at the end of April. Donna will be taking over the reins as Home Manager. Donna has been with Encompass since 2001 and we would like her to wish her every success with her new appointment.
