Unlike Support In Your Own Home or Day Care Support, ‘Residential Care’ allows a person to stay in a dedicated home which is registered with the Care Quality Commission where they are provided with professional support, usually over extended periods of time.

This type of care is ideal for people who may have complex health and or social needs and are in need of long term care.

At Encompass, our support workers provide person-centred support tailored to your exact needs and our registered care homes are very much run as a ‘home’ environment.

Our team will work with you and, where appropriate, your family or circle of support to establish a clear plan, ensure the relevant services are available to you and create outcomes to gauge the success of the care we provide you with.

As we work with many people, with severe learning disabilities or severe and enduring mental health issues, this is crucial in order to understand the needs of the individual and provide the most appropriate and beneficial care possible.

There are many great services and activities available including education, exercise, computer skills and many more.

These not only create a fulfilling and stimulating environment, but also allow you to learn new skills and try different hobbies, all whilst being surrounded by friendly and compassionate people whose primary aim is for you to live the life you want!

At Encompass your opinion and the opinion of the people that are important to you matters to us; this helps shape the home you live in, from the colour of the paint on the walls to what you want to do on a day to day basis.

In addition, our team can also help you with daily tasks which may be proving difficult for you to do on your own such as, meeting your personal care needs, cleaning and cooking.  In all cases, we want to maximise your independence so we work with you to achieve this.

Each home run by Encompass is welcoming, with individual bedrooms, decorated to personal taste, safe garden areas for everyone to enjoy and fully equipped to support your health needs.

Encompass work in collaboration with relevant health and social care professionals to obtain specific equipment so that, no matter what your needs are, we can ensure you are supported safely.

All of our homes are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which helps to ensure the continuous high quality of both the facilities themselves and the care provided by our support workers within them.

Encompass’ support workers work to improve the lives of people living with an enduring mental health condition or learning disability by providing services such as registered residential care, supported living and respite care.
