We provide a Respite service for people with a learning Disability, complex additional needs and physical disability.

Welcome to Encombe, a vibrant part of our community, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for young people and adults with learning disabilities in a cosy Respite setting. As a registered Residential Care Home with the CQC, we offer comfortable accommodation and personalised care for up to 8 individuals.

Some of the people that visit Encombe have chosen to be a part of our Encompass Care family for years, with some transitioning to our other services as their needs evolve. Every month, we are warmly welcoming new individuals from across the South West who choose to access our services.

At Encombe, our amazing workforce ensures round-the-clock support at various levels. We collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver specialised health support, arrange additional equipment, and conduct assessments for funded 2-to-1 assistance.

Whether it's a few hours of personal care, an emergency stay, or a long-term stay, we are here to provide the right level of support tailored to each person's needs.

In addition to our Residential Care Home, we offer a Respite Outreach Service that brings respite support directly to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. Working closely with other services, we facilitate assessments for new placements.

We are proud to share that our most recent CQC Inspection resulted in a highly commendable rating of 'Good' across all domains.
