Supported Living

Supported living is often the first step to independence and offers a safe environment to overcome those barriers and ultimately leading a happy and fulfilled life.

It can be an uncertain and even scary time and we are here to help, answer questions and to be with you every step of the way.

Encompass offers a variety of supported living options for adults with learning disabilities or mental health problems.

Transition from parents or school to your own place?

Moving out of home or full time education can be a daunting prospect for anyone, not just those who face challenges in their life.

We strive to make that process as straight forward as possible.

In Bridport, we have shared supported accommodation which offers the ideal opportunity to develop skills towards living independently, with support configured to meet your individual needs.

Older people who want the security and reassurance of known support but not requiring 24 hour support?

Challenges can arise at any point in our lives no matter our age, background or financial standing. We are staffed and equipped to help people not matter their circumstances or needs.

In Sherborne and Bridport we offer shared accommodation for older people with a learning disability who require housing related support.

A Care Line is available for overnight and emergency support (Sherborne)  when Encompass staff are not available.  All support packages are to meet your individual needs.

We can provide support with your personal care if required too.

Settled Accommodation (challenging behaviour)

In Bridport we offer a settled accommodation option for adults with severe learning disabilities with behaviour that challenges (permanent accommodation under tenancy).

The flats offer living accommodation for up to five people, with support packages designed around the individual to meet their day and night time needs.  This service is able to provide personal care support where required.

Mental Health

Moving to a new area or out of the family home can feel like an unsurmountable challenge when you’re coping with an enduring mental health issue but we are committed to helping you make that transition as easy as possible.

In Weymouth we offer supported accommodation for individuals with enduring mental health problems who require additional support, either on a floating basis to support them with their housing related needs or we able to offer more intensive housing support (not 24 hours) with overnight Careline emergency support at the Coach House.

Support hours are configured to meet individual needs.
